Phone (3a)

Note button is kinda cool, i wish i could choose what i use it for or have more "normal" options in the essentials app (i just want to take normal notes sometimes)

Phone is pretty large, i can barely hold it with one hand

Camera is a bit too saturated

Ich habe mir das Nothing Phone 3a gekauft nachdem mein Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra nach 3 Jahren mir keinen Empfang mehr gegönnt hat. Da ich nicht mehr Unmengen an Geld für Schrott ausgeben wollte hab ich nach einer Alternative gesucht, und gefunden! Ich bin bis jetzt extrem zufrieden mit dem Smartphone das ein Viertel von meinen alten gekostet hat. Zudem ist das Design, das mir sehr zusagt, mal was ganz neues. Bis jetzt kann ich keine Nachteile gegenüber meines alten Smartphone erkennen. Ich kann es ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.

I found the phone quite interesting in terms of features, especially the Essential Space. However, this feature needs some time to get used to and, in my opinion, could benefit from a bit of polishing and streamlining. Taking photos by opening the Camera app and then making a screenshot via the Essential Space button feels... off. It breaks the natural flow of capturing a moment. With a few thoughtful updates, this could become a standout feature rather than a quirky workaround.

Ich fand das Handy in Bezug auf seine Funktionen ziemlich interessant, besonders den Essential Space. Allerdings braucht dieses Feature etwas Zeit, um sich daran zu gewöhnen, und meiner Meinung nach könnte es noch etwas Feinschliff und Optimierung vertragen. Fotos zu machen, indem man zuerst die Kamera-App öffnet und dann einen Screenshot über die Essential Space-Taste macht, fühlt sich... merkwürdig an. Es unterbricht den natürlichen Ablauf, einen Moment festzuhalten. Mit ein paar durchdachten Updates könnte daraus ein echtes Highlight statt einer etwas umständlichen Lösung werden.

I was a little hesitant at first about choosing the Nothing Phone 3a, as I previously had a Google Pixel 9 Pro. But since I appreciate unusual design, I took the plunge and I was not disappointed. The Nothing Phone 3a did not disappoint me; the device itself feels very light despite its size, the transparent back in blue, with fine, well-thought-out details including the LEDs and the great software are simply a joy to use. In times when every smartphone looks almost the same, the Nothing Phone 3a is a wonderful exception. Everything else is just right too; the camera takes great pictures up to 10x zoom, the screen displays things clearly and the Essential Space is more than just a gimmick for me. I'm having a lot of fun with my Nothing Phone 3a!
